Volunteer Opportunities

Do you enjoy working with people?  Have you always wanted to share your talent or hobby with the community?  The library is looking for new volunteers!  Our volunteers help us with many tasks around the library and we are always looking for people to help out.  Currently we are opening up our volunteer opportunities to include programming!

We are open to many programming ideas, but here are a few to think about:

  • Host a book club.
  • Instruct a class on Genealogy.
  • Host a Multi-cultural Storytime.
  • Teach a basic drawing/art class.

Ongoing Volunteer opportunities includes duties such as:

  • Shelving materials and shelf-reading.
  • Assembling membership packages.
  • Folding brochures.
  • Craft preparation.
  • Assisting with special events such as booksales and author visits.
  • Dusting shelves, cutting cardboard, and sorting labels.

If you are interested in volunteering at the library, stop on by, fill our Volunteer Application (attached below) and join our team!  We'd love to hear from you!

Become a SAIL Learning Coach

Bring the joy of learning to our communities by investing 1-2 hours a week coaching an adult learner.  Adult learners come to the table with a lifetime of experiences and a variety of strengths and challenges.  Your commitment to a learner gives them the opportunity to see themselves as successful.

Learning is not always a fast process.  We ask that you plan on investing a minimum of 4-6 months with your learner.  We offer professional development, ongoing support and resources for you to take the first steps in a rewarding journey of discovery.
