Multiculturalism, Indigenous and Inclusion Video Project

In 2020, the Strathmore Municipal Library was awarded the Multiculturalism, Indigenous and Inclusion grant.  In the spirit of reconciliation and appreciation, Strathmore Municipal Library in cooperation with the Town of Strathmore offers this series of educational and historical videos for the general public. We have learned much about our Indigenous, ranching and rodeo culture through Siksika Nation and Wheatland County. We wish to acknowledge the input of all the individuals who contributed to the project including the elders and knowledge keepers of Siksika Nation.

Thank you to Two Canoes Media for the production of the videos. All funding was provided by the Government of Alberta.

Indigenous Resources

The Strathmore Municipal Library is committed to honouring the histories, cultures, worldviews, and knowledge of the Indigenous Peoples of Canada.  As part of this commitment, we strive to provide resources that will assist on the path towards reconciliation.  Recently, the Manager of Indigenous Public Library Outreach at the Public Library Services Branch shared these valuable resources that are free for the public to access.
